Fun and Flexi
Eric Burton of Longmont, Colorado, owns this '00 Jeep Wrangler. It currently rides on a Rubicon Express long-arm 5.5-inch lift with Pro Comp MX6 shocks to help cushion the ride. The 35-inch Pro Comp MTs are wrapped around a set of U.S. Wheels 70 Series. Up front, there's a Dana 30 with 4.56:1 gearing and an Aussie Locker. The rear sports a Dana 44 with like gearing and a Detroit Locker. Eric fabbed up the rock sliders and spare-tire carrier himself.
Not Exactly Mil-Spec
This '85 military issue K-5 Blazer belongs to Tony Thomas of Nashville, Tennessee. It sports a swapped-in 400ci small-block running Holley Pro-Jection, a Turbo 400 automatic, and an NP208 transfer case. For axles, Tony has a Dana 60 front and 14-bolt rear. The rig rides on 42-inch Super Swamper TSLs thanks to a custom 8-inch suspension lift. A pair of custom-made bumpers and a cage round out the beast.
Hard Rockin' Oil Burner
Scott Hull of Brentwood, California, wheels this '86 Ford F-250 which is still powered by the original non-turbocharged 6.9L International diesel engine. Scott swapped in a ZF five-speed transmission for reliability. A stock transfer case splits torque between a stock Sterling 10.25-inch rear axle and a swapped-in '92 F-350 Dana 60 front axle. To help control things, Scott added ORU's sweet crossover steering kit, 35-spline outers, and Warn premium locking hubs. The Skyjacker 6-inch springs, along with homemade shackles, make room for 38-inch Super Swamper TSLs. Scott also made a custom front bumper to ready the truck for a new winch.
